Vermont Wants To Join Nevada With Legal Prostitution

What is going on in Vermont? First they want to ban cell phone for anyone under 21 and now they want to legalize prostitution?

When you think of legal prostitution what first comes to mind? The Bunny Ranch outside Las Vegas, or one of the other legal brothels in Nevada? Would you think Vermont? Home of maple syrup, skiing and Bernie Sanders? Probably not.

Well there are four woman lawmakers in Vermont that are introducing a bill to legalize prostitution in the state. They claim that research shows that when prostitution is legalized it makes the sex trade business safer and cuts down on human trafficking.

According to the article on www.news10.com There is also a lot of research and evidence that suggests that when we decriminalize sex work, we increase safety and reduce violence.

Currently the bill is pending in Vermont’s House Judiciary Committee.
