Well, we always knew we were smart and now we have the study to back it up! According to personal finance website Wallethub the Capital Region is among the most educated cities in the country, and the highest rated in New York State. Albany, Troy and Schenectady were ranked No. 21 on the most-educated list beating New York City No. 26. Rochester No. 43, Buffalo No. 53 and Syracuse No. 63 among the top 75.

It doesn’t surprise me that the Capital Region is so smart. Look at the concentration of colleges and universities in the area. That’s a lot of higher learning skewing the results. In a good way of course.
