Who Else Is Excited For UAlbany’s 2022 Football Season To Begin?
The UAlbany football season is right around the corner as they start their 2022 season this Saturday at 7 pm EST at Baylor in Waco Texas at McLane Stadium. It will be a very tough test for head Coach Greg Gattuso and his guys to begin their 2022 campaign on the road against number 10 in the entire country. The goal has to be to compete as best you can and stay fully healthy. UA can't afford to suffer significant injuries early in the season as I expect them to be much improved from last season. Here is my quick take on this from The Times Union:
To call the UAlbany football team's opening game on Saturday at No.10 Baylor challenging, would be an understatement. UA players are actually looking forward to it because they are getting a chance to play at the next level, and the University gets a nice pay day from it as well. After Baylor, that’s when the season really begins. The Great Danes will have a chance to string some wins together against New Hampshire, Fordham and Central Connecticut.
MJ and I talked about the upcoming game earlier this morning right here on Big Board Sports. Below is our full conversation on this.
I am excited to be doing yet another year of play by play games for UAlbany football. I will be joined by my great producer and partner in the booth Michael Johnson Jr in the booth making his play by play debut with me all season long. We will also be joined every Wednesday starting tomorrow August 31st at 11:30 am but UA head coach Greg Gattuso. I can't wait for the season to begin this week as it is finally college football time.
