You Might See The Northern Lights Tonight In The Capital Region

Not a once in a lifetime type of thing, none the less still an extremely cool sight to see. A sight that is very possible to see tonight.

I believe it was only last summer or maybe the one before that we had an opportunity to see the northern lights. I know I wasn't able to catch it then, maybe you didn't also. That was a sure-fire thing then, this go around, not so much. It isn't a guarantee but we have a pretty good chance. Think of it as a snowstorm, we are right on the edge of all or nothing.

According to News 10, a geomagnetic storm is the cause of Aurora Borealis. So as stated above, it isn't a promised event but if you want to, pray for no clouds. Also, keep your phone handy because that will be a damn cool pic!
