11-11-11 is National Metal Day

Raise your devil horns \m/, Friday November 11th has been proclaimed as National Metal Day. After the Free Beer & Hot Wings morning show we think that you should crank the volume on Q103 to 11. All day we're planning to feature some of the most influential bands in metal history like Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth Pantera and many others. Besides saluting the greatest metal bands and saying thanks to you bad ass Albany metal fans, we'll be featuring some really cool stories, polls and lists right here on Q103albany.com.

Some things we have lined up are a cage match between Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, Top 11 metal albums and metal singers plus stories on everything Metal! It's also Veterans day and many metal band members were also part of the military, so we'll be saluting them too!

11-11-11 could also be the day that we get confirmation that Black Sabbath will re-unite. The band has a press conference played at 11:11am at Whiskey A Go-Go to announce something.

With Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward are all confirmed to be appearing at the conference speculation is a tour and new album!
