2022 is a big year for Woody Johnson and the New York Jets. Gang Green owns the NFL's longest playoff drought, tying a franchise record of 11 straight seasons. Notice the word 'tying.' Losing is nothing new to this New York Jets organization. However, there may be a Super Bowl before you know it, if Mr. Johnson & Johnson applies the correct bandage. Here are 5 resolutions for Woody in order to resurrect his flailing NFL franchise in 2022.

#1 You (really your brother Christopher) hired Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh. Leave them alone. Do not meddle in the football affairs. However, demand real benchmarks of success. Your brother praising Adam Gase was mind blowing to Jets fans. Demand a plan and reasons why it will work. I am not really sure how confident I am in Joe Douglas but Saleh seems like the real deal.

#2 Provide your organization with every possible resource for the team scouting department. Drafting is hard and Douglas has missed on some big picks so far but I think Saleh has a clue about the type of team that he wants and he has a year under his belt. This is a huge NFL draft for this franchise. The Jets own 2 picks in the first, second and fourth rounds and a single pick in the third in April. Those should be 7 talented individuals added to your roster.

#3 Spend the resources needed to sign a quality back-up quarterback, an Andy Dalton or a Mitch Trubisky. Joe Flacco came back too late. Someone needs to mentor and challenge Zach Wilson. This year was a disaster and I for one, feel that the Jets missed on Wilson and have to have a back-up plan.

#4 Here you can meddle. Please make Joe Douglas re-sign Eddy Pineiro or get someone decent to be your kicker in 2022. The Jets have had 7 kickers since 2019. It is consistently a problem and it effects more than just the offense when easy points are missed. Douglas is the culprit for this position remaining to be a problem until they pulled Pineiro off the shelf and he has delivered.

#5 Spend your free-agency money wisely. The roster was bad but is getting better. The Jets are not one or two impact players away. They need depth and should spend money deepening the options for Robert Saleh. Well, a nice weapon or two, like Davante Adams, for Zach Wilson may do the trick.

This year was a good step for the Jets. They are ending the season in much better shape than their MetLife roommates. Robert Saleh has command of the team. They are fighting for him. Zach Wilson has to work hard in the off season and the Jets need to push him to be better and get stronger. There is hope for Gang Green in 2022.
