A Popular Capital Region Sporting Goods Store Has Closed
A popular sporting goods store in the Capital Region has closed.
According to The Times Union, Goldstock's Sporting Good's in Glenville has closed 'until further notice.' The store closed abruptly last week but store supervisor Chris Koetzle says that it will open again soon. He went on to say that a personal issue is what caused owner Michael Kausch to close the shop and that he "wants to reopen as soon as possible and serve customers that have become like family." The store originally opened in 1896 in downtown Schenectady and relocated to Glenville in 1994. The store had around two dozen employees when it first opened and it has maintained a strong customer base over the years. A posting on the business' Facebook page on Wednesday stated that the store would be closed until further notice. See posting below.
