A Schenectady Landmark Store Is Back In Business
When I moved to the Capital Region people told me about the little Italian store in Schenectady that had the best authentic Italian meats, cheeses and other Italian supplies. Cappiello's has been a Schenectady landmark since it opened it's doors in 1921.
Unfortunately, the store has been closed for several months after the death of 91 year-old Mary Cappiello, daughter of founders Francesco and Lucia Cappiello.
The family has announced on Facebook that they are back and open for business.
The Daily Gazette has more details on their reopening and the changes to their business hours.
So, it looks like there will be authentic spaghetti and meatballs in my house very soon now that Cappiello's is open again in Schenectady.
