Does the dude from Police Academy have rabies or are we talking about an actual cat here? Last week a 49-year-old woman was attacked by a wild bobcat near her home in Putnam, NY. According to News 10 the bad news doesn't stop at “bobcats don’t like you” for this woman.

“ Authorities say a bobcat that pounced onto a 49-year-old woman at the door to her Adirondack home has tested positive for rabies.

Cindy Bowman tells The Post-Star of Glens Falls that the attack occurred last Thursday as she was letting her dog into her home in the Washington County town of Putnam, located between the northern end of Lake George and the Vermont border.

Bowman says the bobcat latched onto her face and bit or scratched her head, shoulder, arms and thigh. The bobcat then went after her daughter's boyfriend, who shot and killed the animal.” –News10

Had it not been for the whole “testing positive for rabies” thing I would say this story sounds like the kitty was just trying to kiss her. As someone who knows nothing about bobcats, I think it’s safe to assume wild cats love to hug human faces.
