Airbourne are ready to hop a plane to North America, where their third album 'Black Dog Barking' will be released later this spring. The Australian rockers have unveiled a run of dates in support of the upcoming disc, with a few shows supporting Shinedown and Bush in May, as well.

The trek launches April 17 in Madison, Wis., with shows booked through the Gulfport Music Festival in Mississippi on May 10. These dates will precede their previously announced European trek, that will run from late May into July.

'Black Dog Barking' is the band's third album and it's due in stores May 21 via Roadrunner Records. The group recorded the effort with producer Brian Howes. In a statement, the band remarks, "A lot of thought and effort has gone into this record not only by the band, but by the production crew who worked countless hours, seven days a week, even through Christmas and New Year’s Eve to achieve the best possible performances, backed by real undying tones. Now we’re handing it over to you … so crank it up, crack a beer and stick some rock ‘n’ roll in your ear!”

In addition, the group has teamed up with Six Flags on a promotion. The "full throttle" edition of 'Live It Up' will be released by the band to coincide with Six Flags' Magic Mountain's Full Throttle roller coaster.
