Colonie police have charged a man in connection with the Oct. 2017 burglary of an Albany area gun store.

According to  the Times Union, 21 year old Nathan E. Hennessy was charged with burglary, grand larceny and criminal mischief along with several other misdemeanors involving the theft at NY Shooter Supply off Central Ave. in Colonie. Five handguns were stolen according to police who captured Hennessy on surveillance video breaking a display case and stealing five Glock handguns. Although he had been a suspect within days of the burglary, Albany police weren't able to arrest Hennessey until Dec. when he was brought in on attempted murder charges. One of the stolen guns was located at a Troy home during the investigation but the four other guns remain out there. Hennessy is in Albany County Jail. Police are continuing the investigation and say more arrests are possible.
