Back To Back Storms To Bring Ice & Snow Back To Upstate NY
This winter has seemed to be really mild. Heck, I even wore shorts one day in January...it wasn't pretty, but I did it anyway.
The end of this week looks like it could make your commute a little more treacherous that it has been in a while. So here's your heads-up.
Wednesday night a Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 11pm until 4pm Thursday. Wednesday night we're expecting freezing rain, sleet and up to 3" of snow. Obviously, just one of those is bad enough...you put all three together and you've got quite a mess on your hands.
The second round will hit Thursday night into Friday morning and midday. It will most likely start as rain, change to a wintery mix and then turn to all snow Friday morning. The snow could be heavy at times with up to 5" in some areas. Then falling temps through the weekend just to remind you that old man winter isn't ready to go anywhere just yet.
So gas up the snowblower, check your snow tires and put down some salt....winter isn't done with us yet.
