Punk rock and makeup? A perfect fit! Billie Joe Armstrong has teamed up with renowned tattoo artist Kat Von D for a brand of eyeliner dubbed "Basket Case," named after the 1994 hit by Green Day.

Going by recent Instagram posts by the Miami Ink star Von D, who launched a successful cosmetics line in 2008, it's all systems go on the partnership, as she stated on one post with Armstrong, "Super excited about our upcoming eyeliner collab." There's no date as of yet announced for when the eyeliner will hit shelves, its price or any additional details, but Von D hashtagged her post "coming soon."

Linking up with Armstrong for an eyeliner collaboration makes sense; the Green Day frontman has been sporting the look forever, and it's a style not only done by dozens of other bands, but by punk rock fans of both sexes everywhere. It's likely that Basket Case eyeliner will be marketed to both guys and girls.

It was announced just last week that Green Day will be releasing Greatest Hits: God's Favorite Band on Nov. 17, featuring 20 hits spanning the band's 31 years as a band, along with two new tracks. The collection marks the second "best of" set for the punk rock trio who have 12 albums under their belt. It follows 2001's International Superhits! when it comes to a singles-based compilation.

Coming on the heels of their wildly successful Revolution Radio World Tour, the new songs on God's Favorite Band include "Back in the USA" and a new duet with country music superstar Miranda Lambert on "Ordinary World." Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong previously collaborated with Lambert at the 56th annual Grammy Awards back in 2014 for a live duet in tribute of the late Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers
