Kudos to one Capital Region McDonald's! Because seriously, if you're working hard, you deserve respect.

News Channel 13 reported on the Colonie McDonald's (near the Albany-Shaker Road intersection), which put out a sign demanding respect for the restaurant's workers. I have to say, I loved it.

The sign (you can see it here) so perfectly states that for many of the staff, it is their first job, they may be teenagers, and everyone deserves to be treated with respect.

There's a few other great sayings on the sign too, but I felt that those were the main points I picked up on. As someone who started working at the age of 14 in a restaurant, I truly believe the service industry teaches how to handle anything.  But why be rude to someone who is at work? Even if they're not the most efficient, maybe they're the most efficient they can be at that time. Maybe they are learning, or new. And seriously, why do anything to dissuade someone from being part of the workforce?

And if you need to vent, complain, or be rude- that's what the manager is for (which is exactly what the sign says). Good for you, Colonie McDonald's!
