Capital Region Boys High School Hoops Sectional Brackets Are Out!

It's time to breakout your favorite high school sweatshirt or hat. You old rivalries are heating up. Mid-February means the best in Capital Region high school basketball will be battling it out in the Section 2 boys and girls basketball tournament. Tournament play starts on Friday. Let's start with the boys and the Class AA Bracket. Will #1 Green Tech run the table or will #2 seeded Niskayuna have eyes of their own on the title?

In the Class A bracket, will top seeded Troy be able to make their way to the state tournament or will one of the other top seeds like Hudson Falls or Mekeel Christian make their way to a Section 2 title?

In the Class B bracket, #1 in New York State, Tamarac will have a giant target on their back, as they try to make that number one ranking stick through sectional play. Be sure that #2 seeded Cohoes will have something to say about that.

The Class C bracket will be a battle as top seeded Maple Hill and second seeded Fort Plain will run a gauntlet of tough match ups.

The Double C bracket won't be much easier, as top seeded Stillwater, will have second seeded Chatham and third seed Lake George each with sectional title aspirations of their own.

In the Class D bracket, top seed Argyle and second seed Northville will be the teams to beat. This should be a fun bracket with a ton of upset opportunities!
