For Father's Day, Chris Cornell's daughter Toni posted a version of the Prince song "Nothing Compares 2 U" made popular by Sinead O'Connor that she had recorded as a duet with her father before he passed.

The song is more of a vocal showcase for Toni, with Chris' vocal adding backing and layering to the track. Cornell had covered the song on multiple occasions in recent years and as revealed by Toni's mother and Chris' widow Vicky, father and daughter had recorded it shortly before his death and it was discovered in Cornell's studio files.

Toni, who sang Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" onstage with her father a few years back and also appeared opposite OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder on ABC's Good Morning America last year to sing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" as a tribute to her father as well as the late Chester Bennington, also posted a message accompanying the release of the song:

Daddy,

I love you and miss you so much. You were the best father anyone could ask for. Our relationship was so special, and you were always there for me. You gave me courage when I didn’t have any. You believed in me when I didn’t. I miss your love everyday. Recording this song with you was a special and amazing experience I wish I could repeat 100 times over and I know you would too. Happy Father’s Day daddy, nothing compares to you.

- Toni

In the player above, after hitting play you'll also see a photo of Cornell holding his daughter as an infant. As you might expect, Toni's mother was quite proud of her daughter's duet with Chris Cornell. She also posted on social media about the song, which can be seen below.
