I have been a Detroit Lions fan since 1989, I have cheered and I have cried,but most of all I have learned to anticipate disappointment.

When I was eight years old I decided to become a Detroit Lions fan because my brother would not let me be a Miami Dolphins fan like he was, I thought it was because his name is Mike and the Miami Dolphins are the Miami Dolphins, for some reason I thought that I could only pick a team that's name started with D.

I am also a Leo, so becoming a Detroit Lions fan came naturally.

In the 90's I was sure that the Lions would win a Super Bowl with Barry Sanders on the team, when Barry Sanders retired I started drinking, when the Lions went 0-16 I thought that it could not possibly get any worse.

I thought that Mathew Stafford and Calvin Johnson would be a sure formula for a Super Bowl win.

At this point, I am so used to the Lions losing that I am usually the first one to tell someone that they are going to lose, then if they win I am disappointed.

Because the Lions are the worst team in the history of the NFL, Lions fans are immune to trash talk from other fans and that is why I do this:
