With all the package deliveries going on this time of year, have you ever been concerned about your home's security?

According to the North Greenbush PD, a UPS delivery man broke into a home after a delivery and made off with some of their belongings. The accused has been arrested on burglary following the home invasion.

One has to wonder why a man with a truck full of packages had to enter a home to steal something, but there you have it. The good news is, all the stolen items were recovered.

On a more serious note, I know a lot of people, myself included, are concerned about home security around this time of year. In my case it's just the opposite from this case. I always have a little voice in the back of my head hoping everything will be OK when I have a package delivery - because I don't want the package stolen off my front porch.

Amazon came out with their solution to that problem earlier this year. The Amazon lock that gives delivery people a one-time code to get into your home to leave the package inside. The idea always creeped me out a little, but with stories like this coming out it only makes me even more wary to adopt the latest advancement in package delivery.
