Downtown Albany Gets New Dog Park
Dog owners in the Albany area will be happy to know that a new dog park has officially opened.
According to All Over Albany, Albany's new dog park located in Wallenberg Park opened on Wednesday. The 15,000 square-foot enclosure sits diagonally from The Palace and is open 7 days, from dawn til dusk. The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District funded the project at a cost of $60,000. The fenced in area also features a cool mural that was painted by area artists Mark Gregory and Chip Fasciana. The mural depicts dogs at play. You can check out photos of the park courtesy of All Over Albany here.
It was reported back in May that the dog park was scheduled to open this summer. Are you a dog owner living in the Albany area? How do you feel about the new dog park and do you see yourself utilizing it?
