Feature Film ‘Derailed’ Being Shot At Russell Sage College In Troy

Who needs Hollywood CA when you have Troy NY?

This is kinda of cool, even if it is a "low budget feature film". Filming has started at the Russell Sage College in Troy for a new full length feature film called "Derailed". According to News 10 the movie is about

A woman who survives a train derailment that causes her to lose her memory and her hunt to track the mystery of her former self.

"Derailed" is starring Hannah Barefoot and Thomas Beaudoin and directed by David Jackson. Apparently the cast and crew liked the filming location so much that they decided to alter the story line a bit

To happen in the Albany-Troy area and make the lead character a professor at Russell Sage.

No word yet on when the movie is scheduled to be released but the crew will be filming throughout the Capital Region for the next couple of weeks. So who knows, by pure chance you may just find your self on the Big Screen!
