So, what is a Production Assistant? The production assistant (PA) can be the ultimate helper and problem-solver on a movie, TV, or music video set. They are the newest crew members, but they keep the entire project running smoothly.
Since they help every department, their job changes every hour. They are basically a gofer, running errands and performing random tasks for the crew. One moment a PA will make sure random people don’t accidentally walk into the back of a shot, the next minute they could be going on a coffee run for the director.
