The first man to walk on the moon, Neil Armstrong, has passed away at age 82. Armstrong was a part of the famous Apollo 11 crew with that were the first to the moon, when he uttered his famous phrase, celebrating "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" after walking on the moon for three hours with fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

Armstrong had recently had heart surgery, had just turned 82 three weeks ago on August 5.
