Former Albany Devil Flawless In NHL Debut
Even though the Albany Devils are no more, I think we can still get behind a player that used to call the Times Union Center home.
Now it is a shame that hockey has left the Times Union Center, at least it hasn't left the area though with the Thunder in Glens Falls. Now even with the Albany Devils departure to Binghamton, we will be seeing a new sports team in the yet to be named Albany arena football team. But there is still a big part of me and many around the area that miss going to the TU to see Devils hockey.
Ken Appleby, a former goaltender for the Albany Devils, made his big league debut last night for the New Jersey Devils. Not just did he debut, he stopped every shot that the Philadelphia Flyers whipped his way. In total 24 shot defended. That is very impressive and hopefully, we can see much more of it to come for the former Capital Region player.
