Months after Cafe Hollywood was shutdown it looks like a new business is moving in for 2025.

Back in November a Lark Street staple location was shutdown after numerous violent outbreaks took place in that area over the course of a week. When the City decided to shut down Cafe Hollywood there were a wide range of emotions from the community, but now things seems to be heading in a positive direction.

When one door closes, another opens and that appears to be the case for Stacks Espresso Bar, who are currently located at 260 Lark Street. They've acquired the old Cafe Hollywood property and will be moving into the much larger 275 Lark Street which opens up some tremendous opportunity for them.

The Daily Gazette reports that Stacks is not only planning to do renovations to the building but also give the Lark Street community what they want upon moving in.

The plan is for them to close up their current location on February 1, 2025 but immediately open back up at the new revamped 275 Lark Street.

Stacks CEO Susan Dunckel told The Gazette,

I don't think we've slept since we decided to do this. The whole team is absolutely invested in this project.

Stacks is also planning on helping to organize new community events around Lark Street including art shows and performances by local bands. They also have plans to extend their hours on some days.

While it is sad to see a place that I spent a lot of time at in Cafe Hollywood close up, it is really nice to see another thriving business in the community come in to show it some love and evolve.
