
Your Guide To A Free Show With Kansas At Empire State Plaza, Albany
Q1057 and 1035, the Capital Region's Classic Rock Station will help kick off the 2026 Capital Concert Series at Empire State Plaza in Albany with a free show by the band Kansas, presented by Miller Lite. Here's what you need to know before you go.
On Wednesday June 24th, that's tonight, Kansas will put on a free concert at Empire State Plaza in Albany. What a great time to get the family together and Rock out to 'Carry On Wayward Son', 'Dust In the Wind', 'Point of Know Return', 'Portrait (He Knew)' and so many more.

This is a free concert event so get there early, choose your spot on the plaza and get ready to Rock. In addition to the music, there will be a variety of food vendors, such as, Guido's Frozen Desserts, The Skinny Pancake, Times Square Catering, Given to Fry, Tony's Concessions, Reggae Boy Cafe, Robles Catering and Taste of Korea.
Here's the entertainment schedule for tonight:
- 5pm - DJ Mr. CEO
- 5:30p - Muscle Shoals - Tribute to the Allman Brothers Band and more
- 6:15p - DJ Mr. CEO
- 7p - Kansas

Kansas, featuring Richard Williams on guitar, drummer Phil Ehart, and vocalist Ronnie Platt, just announced their 2026 touring plans, which will wrap up November 14th in Pennsylvania. There are some other events planned for Empire State Plaza this summer, including New York State's 4th of July Celebration featuring Sugar Ray.
