We're happy to share that our 2017 Stuff the Bus event was a hit, bringing in over 10 stuffed bags-full of school supplies, a large box of food, and a very generous monetary donation of $400.

School supplies can easily be overlooked when money isn't an object - nothing but a task that must be completed before Sept. 7. For low-income families and children living below the poverty line, these easy-to-overlook items become hard to get commodities.

According to the Capital Region Statistical Report,

Over the last decade, the percentage of people living in poverty has grown across the Capital Region with the greatest part of this increase being children in the region’s cities.

With the help of the Capital Region and in conjunction with the Factory Outlets of Lake George & the Center for Disability Services, we stuffed a bus full of school supplies for needy kids. Thank you to everyone who came out and made a difference in many young lives this year!
