Goose Set Up Weekend Residency at SPAC in New York
Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in Saratoga Springs, New York is no stranger to legendary performers and historic performances. A 1985 Grateful Dead show at SPAC, which drew over 40,000 fans, is still talked about to this day and did you know that "Faithfully" by Journey was written at SPAC?
The band Goose is no stranger to playing Saratoga Springs but this year the musicians from Connecticut left their mark with back-to-back shows at SPAC. Quite the change from playing to a few hundred at Putnam Place in Saratoga just 7 years ago.
Most artists roll into your hometown amphitheater or arena for a 1 night stand and then they are off to the next city. Back-to-back nights are reserved for the likes of the Dave Matthews Band or the Tedeschi Trucks Bands, both of whom played 2 SPAC dates in 2024.
After a decade of releasing music, paying dues and steady touring, the band Goose is one of the few that are now worthy of back-to-back nights at SPAC and that's exactly what they did on September 6th and September 7th.
Here is the setlist from Friday September 6, 2024:
- Elizabeth
- Atlas (Wood Brothers)
- Turned Clouds
- Borne
- Rosa Lee McFall (Charlie Monroe)
- Bob Don
- Pancakes (Great Blue)
Set 2:
- Arrow
- Everything Must Go
- Jeff Engborg (Great Blue)
- Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minnesota (Tom Waits)
- Arcadia
- Hot Love & the Lazy Poet (Vasudo)
The September 7th shows featured a completely different setlist from Friday night. Check HERE for the complete list and scroll down to see pictures from Goose at SPAC.
