Legendary Hollywood actor and director Harold Ramis has died at the age of 69.

Ramis passed away early Monday due to complications autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, which causes blood vessels to swell. He had been dealing with the disease since 2010.

Ramis' work is a who's who or what's what of comedy film legend including

  • National Lampoon's Vacation (director)
  • Stripes (director/actor)
  • National Lampoon's Animal House (director)
  • Ghostbusters 1 & 2 (director/actor)
  • Caddyshack (director)
  • Groundhog Day (director)

He is survived by wife Erica, two sons, a daughter, and two grandchildren.
