Herkimer Humane Society Asks For Help Finding An Abandoned Dog

Watch the heartbreaking video below to see the moment someone allegedly dumped a dog outside of the Herkimer County Humane Society. Please report any sightings to the Humane Society by calling 315-866-3255.

As if dumping an innocent dog at a humane society isn't bad enough, as you will see in the video, the individual just left the dog to roam free. It appears the suspect did not attempt to secure the dog in a safe location and now the pup is most likely scared and hiding out. Maybe you can help bring him to safety.

The Herkimer County Humane Society has been providing a safe home for animals since 1913. Now they are asking for your help in locating this dog so they can care for it.

According to a post on the Herkimer County Humane Society Facebook page, Sunday evening, just before 9pm, a dog was dumped in front of the shelter in Mohawk, NY. Do you recognize the car in the video? Do you recognize the dog?

If you know anything, contact the Humane Society immediately. The Humane Society says, dumping a dog is NEVER okay. All this person had to do was ASK. Instead, they chose to abandon a dog in the dark and put his life, and people who care, directly in-danger.
