
Experts Predict Biggest Home Value Increases for These 3 New York Areas
Everyone hopes the home they purchase will increase in value over time. If you own a home in one of these 3 New York towns, some experts say you will see the greatest home price appreciation in the United States over the next 9 months.
There are a number of factors that will influence an increase, or decrease, in property value over time. Supply and demand will always effect home prices. Home improvements are usually a big factor and, perhaps the biggest, location, location, location.

Last month Zillow, the online real estate marketplace, reported a 12-month forecast on the housing market. Generally speaking Zillow sees a decrease in home prices between now and April 2026, unless your home is in one of the 3 New York towns listed below.
Among the 300 largest U.S. metro area housing markets, Zillow expects the strongest home price appreciation to occur in places such as Atlantic City, NJ (#1), Torrington, CT (#3) and Knoxville, TN (#4).
Before we reveal the top 3 New York towns expected to see an increase in home value, here are the areas expected to see the biggest decreases. Sadly all are located in Louisiana.

- New Orleans, LA
- Lafayette, LA

- Kingston, NY - potential increase of 2.6%
- Rochester, NY - potential increase of 2.2%
- Syracuse, NY - potential increase of 2.0%
