Ronnie Platt, the lead singer for the band Kansas, has one of the more interesting stories of joining the band six years ago. He was driving a semi during the day and singing in a band at night when he got the call he was the new lead singer of Kansas after Steve Walsh retired from the band. "You hit the airbrakes when you hear something like that," Ronnie told me in the interview.

Kansas has a new album "The Absence of Presence" that comes out July 17 and it's Kansas's 16th studio album. The latest single is "Jets Overhead".

In my interview, Ronnie talks about what he's been up to during the coronavirus pandemic, how he got the Kansas lead singer gig and what the plans are for the future.
