People visiting Crossgates Mall this holiday season can't seem to figure out which direction to go in the parking lots despite them being clearly marked.

Firstly I'd like to say that I have nothing but love for the Capital Region and I will call it my home forever. Second, can we all please learn the correct way to drive at Crossgates?

For the love of god, this mall has been around since 1984 and I know it has gone through some changes, but it blows my mind to see people constantly driving in the wrong direction in the parking lots. While some of the arrows are faded, the direction that the cars are parked is a dead giveaway as to which way you should be driving.

The parking lot at Crossgates is designed for cars to pull into and back out of. I have to believe that is keep the flow of traffic going. Most of the driving lanes can fit two cars in them going both directions, but a lot of them can't, leaving people stuck. The easy way to avoid going to wrong way it to look at how the lanes are pointing.

I realize that I probably spend more time at the mall than most people do. I am not ashamed to admit that I am a mall walker. Not like the elderly folks who go there early, but usually in the early afternoon. So I am there most days getting a bit of exercise. I think it's a good way to decompress.

I also realize there are probably people who only visit the mall during this time of the year. So finding the proper lane may be slightly difficult for you. That's alright, I've got you covered with this handy tutorial I have put together.
