Is This Popular Capital Region Bakery Moving to Colonie Center?
Each of us have our favorite New York State businesses, restaurants, florists, antique shops, pubs, etc. These are the places that we frequent on a regular basis and we are proud to tell our friends and family about. Occasionally we will even let an out-of-stater know our secret spots to visit when they come to town.
There is a bakery that the Capital Region loves as they strive to make the best bread you have ever tasted. Baking is clearly a passion of theirs and before the end of 2023 they could be taking that passion across the street to a new location.

The Bread Butler in Colonie is one of the finest bakeries in the Capital Region. I became aware of the a couple of years ago near the holidays. They have one of the most unique items you will ever see, Turkey Bread! It's a loaf of bread in the shape of a turkey! Since that day we have been hooked!
The bakers at Bread Butler currently practice their craft at 1500 Central Avenue in Colonie. This fall it appears that there will be a new location for your favorite Rye, Carla, croissants and more.
According to a post on the Bread Butler Facebook page, shop owner Andreas Mergner suggests the business could be moving to Colonie Center this November. Other comments on the post hint at the new store being located where Moe's Southwest Grill was.
