Watch the Witches of Hocus Pocus at Beacon, New York Castle

It's never too early to start thinking about Halloween in the Hudson Valley right?

We may have just gotten through the holiday season, but there is some fun brewing for October of this year. Of course the Hudson Valley is home to some of the most popular haunted attractions during Spooky Season, but this time around Bannerman Castle is putting their name in the hat.

Kind of.

Bannerman Channels Salem Massachusetts in October 2024

Bannerman Castle has released a list of happenings on the island in the next few months and among them is the return of Movie Nights at Bannerman Castle. Starting in May Bannerman will play 1 or 2 movies a month on the island including Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz, and Jurassic Park.

Right before Halloween falls in the Hudson Valley on October 4th, 2024 they'll be showing a Disney cult classic: Hocus Pocus.

The Sanderson Sisters of Salem are known to bring quite a crowd, so why not plan ahead? It looks like tickets are available right now for $40 for adults 12 and up. Tickets not only give you access to the showing of Hocus Pocus, but some guests will get a Bannerman Castle tour and lecture before the movie starts.

As a side note, Bannerman adds:

• No outside food can be brought onto the island for this showing.
• Bannerman Island books and tee shirts are also available.
• Movie seats are supplied on the island.
• There are 72 steps from the dock to the main trail.
• There are also self-composting restrooms at the top of the stairs
