The large framed right-handed reliever has never been shy and while a member of the New York Mets, appeared frequently on team-related podcasts. May thanked his family, his followers and most everyone associated with his baseball career, "except one person."

On Monday, while announcing his retirement, Trevor May absolutely crushed Oakland A's owner John Fisher. Quoted in an article on yahoosports.com, May started his statement speaking very kindly towards the last team he would play for in his Major League Baseball career. "To the A's organization and every single person part of it, I love all of you. Every single one of you except for one guy. And we all know who that guy is." Uh oh. This is where May goes off the rails on Gap Inc. heir, John Fisher.

May directs his diatribe at the A's, let's just say, shy owner. "Sell the team, dude. ... Sell it, man. Let someone who actually, like, takes pride in the things they own, own something. There's actually people who give a s--- about the game. Let them do it. Take mommy and daddy's money somewhere else, dork." Ouch. Guys worth $2 billion don't like to be called dorks. It's just a thing.

Trevor May wasn't done. "If you're going to be a greedy f---, own it. There's nothing weaker than being afraid of cameras. ... Do what you're going to do, bro. Whatever, you're a billionaire, they exist, you guys have all this power -- you shouldn't have any because you haven't earned any of it, but anyway, whatever." May wasn't wrong. The former closer took his platform as a, now-retired Major League Baseball player and ripped an MLB owner that is ripping off his team's loyal fans, while pocketing millions. Trevor May did what most every fan of most every team wants or has wanted to do, at some point or another.

May spent 6 seasons with the Minnesota Twins and then 2 with the New York Mets. In 2023 for Oakland, the 34-year old had a great year with 21 saves for a terrible team. May went 4-4 with a 3.28 ERA in 46⅔ innings. Below is the video of Trevor May's advice to his former employer. Enjoy.
