There are actors and there are singers. It's not often you see someone doing both these days. In the golden age of Hollywood, it was expected, but today it's a treat to find a dual talent like that.

There's still a few, like Atlanta's Donald Glover or X-Men's Hugh Jackman. One of Jackman's former X-Men costars is among those ranks, and he's bringing his live show to the Capital Region.

Who is Alan Cumming?

Cumming was born in Scotland in 1965, and was raised in a violent and emotionally unstable home. He states that it was these factors that led him to become an actor.

He made his acting debut in 1984, and just over 10 years later, played the role of Boris Ivanovich Grishenko in James Bond's GoldenEye. He continued on with an excellent career, playing The Master of Ceremonies in Cabaret in London's West End, and Nightcrawler in X-Men: X-2 (a role he will be reprising in this year's Avengers: Doomsday).
