Nothing beats a perfectly crafted sub. And we are super lucky here in the Capital Region to not only have several great local sandwich shops, but also several great chains that offer stellar sandwich creations.

USA Today 10Best Reveals Nation's Best Sandwich Shops

USA Today's 10Best Series is always looking for the best travel destinations, wineries, food, and so much more nationwide. When it comes to food, they also get pretty specialized in finding the best places to fill your belly.

Recently, USA Today asked its readers to vote on the best sandwich shops nationwide, and a New York-based favorite landed on the list.

DiBella's Subs, which was founded in Rochester, New York, and operates 2 locations in the Capital Region, landed #7 on this nationally voted list. USA Today says their amazing everything bread, signature oil dressing, and just their overall robust selection of sandwiches make this New York original a national favorite.

Several other national sandwich chains with local restaurants also made this top 10 list, including Jimmy John's (#10), Jersey Mike's (#6), and Primo Hoagies (#2). In the #1 spot is Chicken Salad Chick, which announced a plan earlier this year to open its first Capital Region restaurant.
