The travel experts at Cheapism scoured every state to find the worst tourist trap in all of them. If you go to Massachusetts avoid Salem where Cheapism says 'economics...trump historical charm.' In Vermont, they say to avoid the Rock of Ages quarry tour. And in New York, one overpriced destination offers little value for the cost!
New York's Worst Tourist Trap: Times Square Museums
Cheapism says DO NOT WASTE YOUR time at the overpriced Times Square chain museums as they are typically panned by "travel bloggers." Cheapism says they have little to offer for the cost and time in the Big Apple would be much better spent at some more enriching museums.
Spots like the American Museum of Natural History, the Guggenheim, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, and so many more offer hours upon hours of engaging exhibits that are well worth the price of admission.
