On Saturday, December 13th, the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery will once again host National Wreaths Across America Day. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the local event, which is part of a nationwide effort to Remember, Honor, and Teach.

Thanks to generous community donations, 19,206 holiday wreaths will be placed on veterans’ graves, which is over 13 percent above the goal. This ensures that every grave receives a special remembrance.

Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit dedicated to honoring those who served our country, remembering the fallen, and teaching future generations the value of freedom.

Beyond placing wreaths, the organization engages communities year-round through educational programs, volunteer opportunities, and local ceremonies. Every December, volunteers across more than 5,200 locations in all 50 states, at sea, and abroad, come together to pay tribute to veterans.

At Saratoga National Cemetery, volunteers are still needed to help lay the wreaths. Click HERE to volunteer. The day will begin at 11 a.m. with wreath placement, followed by the Wreaths Across America Ceremony at noon at the Flagpole Assembly Area. Participating is a meaningful way to honor the service and sacrifice of our military heroes.

Whether you sponsor a wreath, volunteer, or help spread the word, you can be part of this nationwide tribute. Learn more about how to get involved, sponsor a wreath, or volunteer by visiting the Wreaths Across America website. Your participation ensures that no veteran is ever forgotten and that their legacy continues to inspire future generations.
