'Christmas Vacation' legend and actor Chevy Chase was in Utica last weekend filming a new Christmas movie.

The main question is - will 'The Christmas Letter' reach iconic Christmas movie status. Only time will tell, but on thing is for sure: they are tapping into the legendary DNA of 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' by bringing back some key actors from the iconic 1989 film.

As we recently reported, "The Christmas Letter" will reunite 3 legendary actors from Christmas Vacation: Chase, Randy Quaid (Cousin Eddie), and Brian Doyle Murray (Boss Frank Shirley). No details have been revealed about their characters in 'The Christmas Letter," which centers around a dad trying to keep up with a wealthy friend's lavish adventures revealed in a yearly Christmas letter.

"The Christmas Letter" has an official Facebook page and they recently posted some photos of Chevy Chase along with his daughter Caylee and other cast members filming scenes at Fort Schuyler Club in Utica! News Channel 2 WKTV in Utica says Chase was in town filming last weekend.
