Register for Unique Upstate New York Lighted Tractor Parade-Deadline Friday
It’s almost time for one of the Capital Region’s most festive traditions. It's the 13th annual Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade in Greenwich. Known as the largest event of its kind in the country, this small-town celebration draws thousands of people who come to see tractors glowing with holiday spirit.
This year’s parade rolls through the village of Greenwich on Saturday, November 22nd, starting at 6 p.m. More than seventy tractors are expected to line up, each one decked out in twinkling lights, garland, and plenty of creative flair. It’s a sight that captures the perfect mix of hometown pride and holiday cheer.
If you want to be part of the parade, registration is open now through this Friday, November 7th. Tractor owners can enter in a variety of categories, including new, old, and antique tractors, as well as floats and other unique entries. Click HERE to register.
Judges will hand out awards for Best in Show, Best Antique Tractor, Best Float, Most Creative, Most Musical, Best Use of Lights, Best Small Tractor, and Best Greenwich Chamber Member.
But the parade isn’t just about lights and competition; it also gives back. A portion of the proceeds supports a scholarship for a graduating senior from Greenwich Central School who plans to study agriculture.
Whether you’re entering a tractor or just bundling up to watch, the Greenwich Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade is a bright way to kick off the holiday season and celebrate the area’s strong farming community.
