The Troy Victorian Stroll Announces Date For 2026!

The holiday season is creeping up on us. Sure, it's only the beginning of October, but that hasn't stopped everyone in the Capital Region from getting set for Christmas.

Decorations are being put up, stores are selling gift wrap, and holiday events are finally getting added to the calendar. Now, one of the Capital Region's most storied holiday events has a date.

Troy Victorian Stroll

Since 1982, Downtown Troy has transformed into a relic of a bygone era for the holiday season. The Victorian Stroll is a one-of-a-kind event where the City of Troy and all its residents decorate and dress up like its the Victorian Era, à la A Christmas Carol.

There's vendors selling traditional Victorian goodies, street performers dressed as Scrooge and Krampus (and a saxophone playing Santa), a window decorating competition, and more.

What to Know

The Stroll will officially take place on Sunday, December 6th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtown Troy's historic district. The event is free, and costumes are not required (though they are a lot of fun).

The week leading up to the Stroll is also full of Holiday activities, especially the annual Tree lighting ceremony at Monument Square, which will take place on Wednesday, December 2nd at 5:30 p.m.

Whatever you're looking for out of the Holidays, Downtown Troy has got you covered!

You can check out all the events, attractions, and more at the Victorian Stroll Website. The event will take place rain or shine (or snow, more than likely, for that matter).
