Hilarious! Watch As Bear Steal Amazon Package from Front Porch!
You might know Bristol, Connecticut for ESPN but for me it was my home for the last 8 years. Before moving to the Capital Region my son and I lived in the central Connecticut town that is a combination of big city and small town. In my time there I had deer, turkey and black bear travel through the yard but not once did they steal my mail!
On Tuesday afternoon a Black Bear was wandering through the Chippens Hill section of Bristol, CT, which is about 2 hours from Albany. In the bears travels he happened to wander up the driveway of the Levine family to snoop around. We have seen many videos like this but one thing is different about the Levine video.

Caught on a home surveillance video, you see the bear pick up what looks like an Amazon package and walk away with it! "Bear-ly" breaking his stride he walks off with it! The big guy thought better of the theft a few minutes later as he reportedly dropped the box in a neighbors yard. The Levine's indicated that the package was a delivery of toilet paper. The questions remains, does a bear poop in the woods?
Yea so if anyone sees an Amazon package in the Chippens Hill area with my name on it…feel free to bring it back? Kristin Levine wrote in her post
According to the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, this is what you should do if you encounter a bear:
- Make noise to attempt to scare the bear away
- Chill out and walk away slowly
- Speak loudly
- DO NOT approach the bear
- DO NOT run
