Lime Rock Park Brought 40 NASCAR Haulers Through A Connecticut Town

To help kick off the LIUNA 150 Weekend at Lime Rock Park, NASCAR arrived in style with their NASCAR Hauler Parade and Pit Party. Watch the video below.

Lime Rock Park racetrack in Lakeville, Connecticut, located just over an hour from Albany, New York, is home to a variety of races throughout the summer months, including Le Mans style racing, and this weekend it's the LIUNA 150 - NASCAR Weekend.

The LIUNA 150, on July 10th and July 11th, is a proving grounds for both emerging talents and racing veterans, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series offers some of the most action-packed racing in the country.

On Thursday at approximately 4:30pm, nearly 40 brightly colored NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series haulers made their way through Lakeville enroute to Lime Rock Park.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, fans have been gathering at Lime Rock Park, since the 1950's, to see the road racing action. Not just fans but many notable names have made their way to Northwest Connecticut to be part of the action.

Actor Paul Newman was not only a fan but he had his own Newman-Haas team with the likes of Bob Sharp, Mario Andretti, Stirling Moss, Dan Gurney, Sam Posey, and Mark Donohue. Connecticut's own NASCAR driver Joey Logano, and actor Tom Cruise are among the famous to have visited.
