Take A Trip Down Memory Lane With These 80s Capital Region Concerts
Here are 10 Capital Region Classic Rock Concerts from the 1980's You Might Have Forgotten About. Not because they weren't good shows, it's more because your mind refuses to believe that big band once played that small club.
Back in the day we all gathered at places, some no longer in existence, to see our favorite bands, discover new artists, and rock out in our blue jean jackets. Corning Preserve Riverfront Park, RPI Fieldhouse, and Hullabaloo are just a few that played host to our heroes.

Do you have stories of going to a concert to see your favorite band and being blown away by the opening act? I remember one show seeing Iron Maiden open for Judas Priest, and another show where Sammy Hagar open for ZZ Top. Pretty cool, huh?

Or how about just seeing a band, in their infancy, at a small venue. Led Zeppelin, for example, played 2 shows at the Aerodome in Schenectady on August 20, 1969. They performed at 8pm and 11pm. Tickets were $4 in advance and $4.50 at the door.
Take a look through the 10 forgotten concerts listed below. There are certainly more than 10 to look back on, but this gives you a feel for what attending concerts in the Capital Region in the 1980's was like.
How many shows did you see at J.B. Scott's in Albany, Starlite Music Theatre in Latham, Saratoga Winners in Clifton Park, Hullabaloo in Rensselaer, or QE2 in Albany? Good memories, great music and stories to tell for the rest of your life.
