Just when you thought it was safe to eat your vegetables. As it turns out there's a lot more going on with Taylor Farms than we had originally thought. This latest recall from Taylor Foods spans 26 states, including New York. According to the FDA:

The recalled products were distributed to retail distribution centers in the following states: AL, AR, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NE, NH, NY, OH, OK, SC, TN, TX, VT, WI, WV with a “Best If Used By” date up to and including August 16, 2026.

While the first time around it seemed like it was lettuce that was the problem, and that lettuce was being found at Taco Bell locations, it turns out many other restaurants use Taylor Farms for various produce needs.

Found in New York

The following restaurants also get their produce from Taylor Farms:

  • McDonald's
  • Subway
  • KFC
  • Pizza Hut
  • Olive Garden

Just because you skipped out on the Taco Bell doesn't mean that you are immune from being in contact from something from Taylor Farms. Does this mean that if you eat at one of these places you're going to get sick? No. They're done a good job of making sure that the recalled products are not on their shelves or on their prepared foods.

Taylor Farms is one of the largest produce distributors in the country, so it is not shocking that they are found in some of these larger chain restaurants.
