Rush formed out of Toronto, Canada in 1968. The band features Geddy Lee along with guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer Neil Peart. Rush were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 and toured on the R40 Tour in celebration of the band’s 40th anniversary in 2015. The band released the R40 Live cd/dvd in 2015. Alex Lifeson was ranked 98th on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. According to industry sources, Rush have sold over 40 million records worldwide. I was fortunate enough to see the Rush 40th anniversary tour when it played Madison Square Garden in NYC and it was an amazing show. Cheers to Alex Lifeson on his birthday today!
