Burlington to open 5 new stores in New York State this fall. Burlington, formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, currently has 72 locations in the Empire State. That number will rise to 77 by the end of 2025.

While so many retailers are filing for bankruptcy, closing locations or simply going out of business, Burlington will grow to nearly 100 new stores in 19 states. Here are the latest New York locations.

Burlington has more than 1,100 stores in the United States with Texas leading the way at 135 locations, according to scrape hero. Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will also be adding locations this year but first let's look at New York.

  • Friday September 5, 2025 - Burlington will open in Brooklyn, NY at 946 Kings Highway.
  • Friday September 12, 2025 - Burlington will open in Massapequa, NY at 5520 Sunrise Highway
  • Friday October 3, 2025 - Burlington will open in Irondequoit, NY at 2255 East Ridge Road
  • Friday October 3, 2025 - Burlington will open in Rego Park, NY at 61-35 Junction Blvd Suite A302
  • On Friday October 10, 2025 - Burlington will open in Bay Shore, NY at 1851 Sunrise Highway

Connecticut will add 2 new locations in October, New Jersey and Pennsylvania will add one in September and another in October in each state. All of this while so many major retail store are going out of business. Perhaps this is a good indication of a turnaround for big box stores going into 2026.

In the past year to 18 months it has been reported that National retail brands such as Big Lots, Rite Aid, Part City, Joann, Khols and Walgreens, to name a few, would be closing stores or going out of business altogether.
