New Traffic Circle Coming To Clifton Park

Go to Upstate Concert Hall all the time? Well, this may just make your travels there easier in congested traffic hours.

In fact, this it the final intersection you would go through if you come off the Northway at exit 9 on your way to the venue.

The proposed traffic circle is going to be at the intersection of route 146 & Vischer Ferry Road. There will soon be a two-lane roundabout to slow down traffic in that area. I love this as an idea. First off, traffic circles, if used correctly are ingenious. Many hate them because they don't understand how to use them.

But, the reason for this traffic circle coming to be, NY DOT recognizes this intersection as a "high accident" location.
