New York State Police Looking to Give Mystery Woman $230, Do You Know Her?
Typically when the New York State Police ask the public's help in identifying and/or locating an individual it is because that individual is suspected of committing a crime and they are wanted for questioning or for arrest. Not in this case.
New York State Police are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating the individual pictured below because they recovered a sum of money they say she lost while shopping. Now New York State Troopers would like to return the money to her.
We don't have a wealth of information to help in the search for this individual. What we do know is that she was shopping at Aldi in Malone, New York. Following an investigation is has been determined that, while she shopped, this woman lost a total of $230.
Take a look at the pictures below to see if you recognize this individual so officers can return the $230 to her. If anyone has information related to this case or if you can identify this female, please contact New York State Police at 518-483-5000.
If I lost $230 I would retrace every step I made, going back 25 years, just tp find the money and maybe she has done the same. Comments on the New York State Police Facebook page share mixed opinions.
- New York State Police why was it necessary to put a dollar amount instead of just saying "large sum"? I'm with the others saying that this is some kind of trap. - Jake M.
- How sad that so many feel this way. The person obviously lost money and they are trying to return it. If you lost money would you feel the same way about them wanting to return it to you? - Lisa KR
